Laura Bush and Pombo: Walk in Their Shoes

 CODEPINK joined peace activists for a demonstration outside Goal Line Inc. where Laura Bush held a rally with Richard Pombo supporters. We lined both sides of the road going into the business park with tagged shoes and held up "Walk in Their Shoes" and "Give Peace a Vote" banners.
We got excellent coverage on the evening news channels and news crews were very interested and awed by the action. Reporters said that our message was clear and powerful.
We then displayed the shoes outside the Chevron offices in Pleasanton. Later that evening Sam took the shoes to Auburn to display at a Town Hall Meeting with Charlie Brown.
