 | Jodie Evans Jodie Evans is co-founder and co-director of CODEPINK and has been a peace, environmental, women’s rights and social justice activist for forty years. She has traveled extensively to war zones promoting and learning about peaceful resolution to conflict. She served in the administration of Governor Jerry Brown and ran his presidential campaign. She has published two books, “Stop the Next War Now” and “Twilight of Empire,” and has produced several documentary films, including the Oscar-nominated “The Most Dangerous Man in America” and Howard Zinn’s “The People Speak.” Jodie is the board chair of Women’s Media Center and sits on many other boards, including Rainforest Action Network, Drug Policy Alliance, Institute of Policy Studies, Women Moving Millions and Sisterhood is Global Institute.  | Medea Benjamin Medea Benjamin is a cofounder of both CODEPINK and the international human rights organization Global Exchange. She has been an advocate for social justice for more than 30 years. Described as "one of America’s most committed -- and most effective -- fighters for human rights" by New York Newsday, and called "one of the high profile leaders of the peace movement" by the Los Angeles Times, Medea has distinguished herself as an eloquent and energetic figure in the progressive movement. In 2005 she was one of 1,000 exemplary women from 140 countries nominated to receive the Nobel Peace Prize on behalf of the millions of women who do the essential work of peace worldwide.  | Nancy Kricorian Nancy Kricorian is part of the national staff and the coordinator for the Stolen Beauty Campaign, which boycotts illegal Israeli settlement product Ahava Cosmetics. In addition to working with CODEPINK, Nancy is a writer and a novelist. She is a member of PEN USA and on the board of the Armenia Tree Project.  | Alli McCracken Alli McCracken is a National CODEPINK Coordinator based in the Washington D.C. office. She graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in May 2010 with a degree in Political Science and Religious Studies.  | Nancy L. Mancias Nancy L. Mancias is the coordinator for CODEPINK's War Criminals and Ground the Drones campaigns.She is a key organizer in the San Francisco anti-war community and supports war resisters in the US and Canada. Nancy is a theatre arts professional and is on the Board of Directors for Intersection for the Arts, San Francisco's oldest alternative art space.  | Noor Mir Noor is the anti-drone campaign coordinator for CODEPINK and is based in the Washington, D.C. office, although she calls Islamabad, Pakistan her home. She graduated from Vassar College in 2012 with a major in Political Science and minors in French and English. While studying abroad at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, she took courses on international law and targeted killings and was driven by what she learnt to turn it into a year long research thesis on drone warfare in Pakistan. Noor is passionate about killer drones, humanitarian law and race relations. |
 | Sam Deer Sam Deer is the National Grassroots Coordinator for CODEPINK and a recent Saint Mary's College graduate. After earning her Bachelor's degree in Politics, Sam has eagerly applied her studies to the active pursuit of global peace and social justice. While studying abroad in Rome, Italy for a year, she took courses on human rights and gained a new appreciation for the international community (as well as Italian food and culture). Aside from working at CODEPINK, Sam teaches ESL to immigrants from Latin America. She currently lives in San Francisco, CA. She can be reached at sam[at]codepink.org. |
 | Dooler Campbell Dooler Campbell is a graduate student at SIT Graduate Institute, getting their Masters degree in Social Justice in Intercultural Relations. After graduating from Hampshire College in 2009 (during which time Hampshire became the first US college or university to divest from the Israeli occupation of Palestine), they spent over two years studying and working in the Middle East: in Morocco, Egypt, Palestine and Jordan.  | Gayle Brandeis Gayle Brandeis is our wordsmith extraordinaire. She crafts all of the CODEPINK Alerts that go to nearly 200,000 members weekly. She is the author of several books, and of them, The Book of Dead Birds: A Novel (HarperCollins) won Barbara Kingsolver’s Bellwether Prize for Fiction in Support of a Literature of Social Change. Her second novel, Self Storage, was recently published. |
