We in the peace movement have the opportunity to join this exciting coalition and bring the message: Fund Jobs, Not War.

USA Science and Engineering Festival Expo on the National Mall
repeats on October 24th, 2010 10:00 am - 5:30 pmExplore science & engineering with hundreds of free, hands-on activities and over 40 science shows on three different stages. The two-day Expo is perfect for teens, children and their families, and anyone with a curious mind who is looking for a weekend of fun and discovery. Build an underwater robot, chat with a Nobel Laureate, explore the science behind the magic of Hogwarts Academy and see a car that drives itself. From bugs to birds, kitchen chemistry to computer games, environmental monitoring to electronic music the Expo has something for everyone and is completely free of charge. The Expo is the pinnacle event of the inaugural USA Science & Engineering Festival to be held in the greater Washington D.C. area October 10-24, 2010. The USA Science & Engineering Festival is a collaboration of over 500 of the nations leading science and engineering organizations. Wednesday Community Potluck
Every Wednesday evening, starting at 7 PM 7 - 9 PMBring your favorite dish to share and be in on plans for upcoming actions in the DC area. Open to the community.
Walter Reed Vigil
Every Friday evening, 7 - 9 PM. 7 - 9 PMA weekly vigil to raise awareness within our community and the media that our injured soldiers are brought to Walter Reed Hospital and we must not forget them.
Vigil: Never Again Includes Palestinians
This vigil normally is held between noon and 2 p.m., but on May 2, it will be extended to 4 p.m. Come anytime in this window and stay for 1-2 hours. Noon - 4 PMVigil in front of the Holocaust Museum, across from the "Think About What You Saw" sign. One of the most popular attractions for tourists from around the world, the Holocaust Museum represents the struggle for human rights -- and it's the ideal place to remind visitors respectfully that atrocities are going on elsewhere -- including to Palestinians, at the hands of Israelis. Bring a sign; flyers for distribution will be provided.
ADC's 30th Anniversary Convention
June 4-6, 2010 ALL DAYADC's 30th Anniversary National Convention, the largest Arab-American event and the premier Arab-American national gathering, with attendees from throughout the United States and worldwide. The theme of this year's historic convention is, "Thirty Years of Advocacy and Achievement: Strengthening the Voice of Equality and Justice."
Tell Congress to Stand Up for Iraqi Labor Rights
Signatures on messages to Congress will be collected until the end of August Signatures collected until end of AugustIn response to escalation repression of the Iraqi labor movement and violations of workers' rights, U.S. Labor Against the War asks you to send a message to your member of Congress asking that they cosign a letter of protest to Prime Minister al-Maliki, calling for quick adoption of a basic labor law and respect for labor rights.
